There's 2 ways I go about feedback. General, and specialised. If I need Writing help, I go to a writer who does what I'm looking for. Rigging help, a rigging artist who does what I need. Anim help, a specific animator who specialises in what I'm going for.

I learnt this skill very early at Uni. It's something I noticed most of the other students doing a lot, bc every time someone (typically, a lecturer) tell them to change something, they just Would. This ended up in Animations trying to cover too many bases and pleasing nobody.

Critique is being talked about a lot this week. I’m very pro critique. Most of my job is receiving critique and I’m a better artist bc of it. BUT it worries me that young artists are feeling like they need to listen to EVERYTHING random people online tell them

@SkullWolp I don't think the political aspects were necessarily the issue (the 1st season was very overt about them)
Moreso the politics being watered down-
Homelanders speech post-plane clash in S1 was chilling and calculated
But now he just says "THESE NONBINARY IMAGRANTS AMIRIGHT??"

@AussieNeon I really don't care for overt political bias on any side when it comes to a show honestly, I just wanna watch an original story away from world concerns.
Baffling the showrunners would depart from the comic source material so hard

Finally gotten around to watching The Boys start-finish the past month and:
Season 1 100% lived up to the hype and absolutely deserved the love and popularity it received
But just 10 mins into S4 and I can already tell why everyone is saying the series fell off hard 😭

@AussieNeon I have a good judgement when it comes to shows. Usually the more loved and hyped something is Example: Game of thrones the more likely it will be terrible later on.

But S4 is where it felt REALLY noticeable
