Yesterday, EJF participated in a side-event at #INC5 with the Dhimurru Aboriginal Corporation and @GGGInitiative, hosted by the @AustMarConsSoc. We discussed the inclusion of impacted communities, fishers, and Indigenous peoples in the #GlobalPlasticsTreaty.

The Massive Murray Paddle 2024 is in its 55th year, raising funds for charity. I'll be paddling with my equally kayak-obsessed paddling partner BB, and we've chosen to raise funds for Australian Marine Conservation Society @AustMarConsSoc , paddling in gear by Ningaloo Swimwear.

In 2 weeks time, i'm tackling a lifetime goal. 🧵 Kayaking as far as I physically can, for 5 days in a row ( < 415km total) down the mighty Murray River. I don't know how far I'll get each day, but I'll be there at the start on Day 1, and I'll be there at the finish on Day 5 🛶

This plastic treaty is a unique opportunity to get it right with a legally binding agreement for worldwide action.  Our Plastics Campaign Manager Cip Hamilton will attend the November negotiations in Busan, and continue to push for a strong treaty to end plastic pollution.
