The journey continues...

Good morning. For many who have asked where I have been and why I have remained largely absent from my social media timeline this year, I believe the time has come to speak. Apart from my New Year message on January 3rd, I intentionally stepped back from public engagement for several months. It was not a season of withdrawal, but one of reflection, recalibration, difficult decisions, strategic engagements, and preparation for the next phase of the Vision for a Better Delta ahead of 2027. Even before then, from around October 2025, I had already begun reducing my public visibility as I focused on repositioning my businesses, strengthening key relationships, and thinking deeply about the future of Delta State and the kind of leadership required for the next generation. Like millions of Nigerians, I have remained inspired by @PeterObi’s consistent message around accountability, responsible leadership, and national transformation. So when he declared a new political direction with the African Democratic Congress (ADC) at the end of last year, I joined that journey early and publicly in Asaba on January 7th out of conviction and belief in the broader movement for a New Nigeria. What followed were weeks of intense political engagements and consultations across Delta State and beyond, including supporting my friend and brother, @Drmopaul during the AMAC elections, as well as actively participating in the Delta State Obidient Movement Declaration of February 7th. However, as events continued to unfold, and after further consultations and strategic engagements at both the state and national levels, I arrived at a difficult but necessary conclusion: I could not clearly see a viable pathway within the ADC for the realization of the Vision for a Better Delta and the transformational future our people truly deserve. Leadership sometimes demands difficult decisions — not decisions based on convenience, emotion, or applause, but decisions rooted in conviction, clarity, courage, and responsibility. By the grace of God, a new opportunity emerged with the @NigeriaNDCHQ, shortly after its registration and prior to its formal unveiling by its Founder and National Leader, Distinguished Senator Dickson @iamHSDickson. After deep reflection, prayer, and consultations with supporters, stakeholders, and leaders across Delta State and beyond, I made the decision to formally resign from the ADC on March 24th and immediately participate in the first NEC meeting of the NDC on March 25th. At the time, the decision was not the popular one. There were criticisms, misunderstandings, and several attempts to question both my convictions and my direction. But leadership is not the ability to move with the crowd. Leadership is the ability to see clearly, decide firmly, and move forward when conviction demands it. Today, I am encouraged that many within the broader movement for a New Nigeria have also found alignment within the NDC. For me, that alignment is not about political validation, but about strengthening the collective possibility of building the Nigeria and Delta State our people deserve. At this critical moment in Delta’s history, I remain convinced that our state needs a new generation of courageous, competent, and people-centered leadership capable of translating hope into measurable progress and meaningful development for our people. Although I was unable to attend the formal declaration event of His Excellency Peter Obi and His Excellency Rabiu Musa Kwankanso @KwankwasoRM , due to my responsibilities in Delta during the 1st State Congress of the NDC, my commitment to building a stronger political movement in Delta State and advancing the Vision for a Better Delta remains unwavering. Over the coming days, I will be sharing reflections and moments from the journey so far before resuming more regular engagement on issues concerning Delta State, governance, enterprise, leadership, youth development, and our collective future.

Help me thank God for saving me from plane crash today. We boarded a Max Air flight from Abuja to Katsina, and about less than 20 minutes into the journey, there was a loud bang and the aircraft suddenly dropped and began struggling to maintain balance. A few minutes later, there was another loud bang and I thought we were all gone. At that point, the entire cabin and passengers became tense and nervous. The pilot, in terse voice then announced that, for safety reasons, we would be returning to Abuja. He carefully manoeuvred the aircraft, flying low, until we successfully made an emergency landing in Abuja. I am deeply grateful to God for preserving our lives today. Although I’m still in shock, I thank God who spared our lives ~ Obinna Chukwuezie
