We’ve covered a lot of ground since 2022 – but there’s more on the horizon.

Whether it’s starting a small business, going to a tech school or college, or going right into the workforce, PA is a place where young people can achieve their goals and get ahead. I go to work every day with my daughter’s future in mind — and that’s a promise I hold for all of Pennsylvania’s young people.

Regardless of their ZIP code, every kid deserves a quality education to set them up for success. I’m proud to have driven investments to early learning opportunities and child care programs so that every child has the freedom to chart their own course from the start.

Blayre and I were honored to join PAAR, one of this country’s oldest rape crisis centers, over the weekend as I accepted the Legacy Award in recognition of the work PA has done to support victims of sexual violence in Allegheny County.   As Lieutenant Governor and Chair of the PA Commission on Crime & Delinquency, I’m proud of the work we’ve done in Pennsylvania to provide victims of crime and their families the services they need to recover and heal. And this work would not get done without our partners like PAAR.   We were inspired by the bravery of the survivors in attendance who have turned their pain into purpose and are helping to lead the way forward for all victims.

Alongside leaders like Mayor @jaywreynolds, we’re focused on building opportunities for every Pennsylvanian to live their American dream. From driving economic growth and creating jobs, to investing in education, safety, and affordable housing – we’re fighting for Pennsylvanians to be able to build their futures in cities like Bethlehem and all across the Commonwealth.

We must bring down housing costs for Pennsylvanians. And through our Housing Action Plan, we’ve identified thirty strategic initiatives to increase our housing supply, protect renters and support local municipalities.   I joined local officials in Sharpsburg today to discuss the housing needs across Allegheny County.

Over the weekend, I spent time on the ground with my friend @JanelleStelson energizing volunteers, and talking about the issues that matter most to them. We need leaders like Janelle who will stand up to the reckless, cost-raising agenda Scott Perry and Donald Trump continue to push.

Small businesses like @ElementaryCC are creating jobs (and serving great coffee!) in our communities. @JoshShapiroPA and I are committed to supporting small businesses and helping them thrive all across the Commonwealth.

Happy Mother’s Day to the woman who taught me the meaning of strength, compassion, and unconditional love. Today we celebrate you — and all the love you pour into our family each and every day. Love you always. ❤️

We spent the day out across Pennsylvania talking with folks, and building real momentum for this campaign. I’m grateful to every volunteer who showed up, put in the work, and helped us connect with voters in communities across the Commonwealth. This is how we move Pennsylvania forward — together.

Becoming a father to my daughter, Harper, put the work I do into an even clearer perspective. Like Bill, I’m determined to do everything in my power to leave Pennsylvania safer, fairer, and more hopeful than before we got into this work. That’s what I want for all of Pennsylvania’s children.

Stories like Gina’s are all too familiar. I got involved in politics after gun violence shook my neighborhood — so this is personal for me. All Pennsylvanians should be safe and feel safe in their communities — and we’re investing in both gun violence prevention programs and law enforcement to address this issue head on.

.@JoshShapiroPA and I are empowering our neighbors with disabilities to join the workforce, ensuring the doors of opportunity are open for everyone. By lifting folks up and giving them the tools they need to succeed, we’re making our Commonwealth stronger.

Local businesses are the heart of so many communities across our Commonwealth – and that’s exactly why we’ve invested in our Main Streets and historically disadvantaged small businesses to ensure they can grow and thrive. Here in Pennsylvania, we’re giving our small business owners – like Edith – the tools they need to succeed.

From forest fires to house fires, our firefighters show courage, sacrifice and unwavering dedication when they answer the call and come to the rescue.   Today on International Firefighters Day, we recognize the men and women who have fallen in the line of duty and honor their service to this Commonwealth. They are everyday heroes whose sacrifices will never be forgotten.

Damn straight! Every worker deserves a safe workplace. Every worker deserves the benefits and pensions they’ve negotiated for and that they’ve earned.

Our workers and unions deserve better wages, safer work environments and to have dignity while on the job. I will always stand with them in this fight for workers' rights.    In solidarity, happy May Day, Pennsylvania!
