We’ve covered a lot of ground since 2022 – but there’s more on the horizon.

Everyday I am grateful for the service and sacrifice of our @PAStatePolice who run toward danger to protect our communities and keep people safe. Corporal Tim O’Connor was one of our very best and served with the Pennsylvania State Police for over 15 years.   My heart is with his family, friends and loved ones as Corporal O’Connor is laid to rest. Blayre and I are keeping everyone in our prayers, including the entire State Police family, and wishing strength and comfort during this difficult time. May his memory be a blessing.

We're working to bring down costs in Pennsylvania for everyone, despite the chaos and confusion from the Trump administration.

Our first responders run toward disaster when emergencies happen and it’s our job to make sure resources are available when injuries occur.   In 2024, we expanded workers’ compensation to include post-traumatic stress injuries and now it’s time for this coverage to be provided during disaster emergencies as well.

I have loved Pittsburgh ever since I managed the Mayor's race there in 1989 for Frank Lucchino. Across our Commonwealth, we’re taking action to address our housing crisis by increasing our housing supply and making sure there are pathways for everyone to gain housing on their terms.   Building affordable housing is going to be a team effort, and this $3 million federal investment brings us one step closer in Allegheny County. Fun fact: Pennsylvania’s First and Second Ladies share a birthday.   When @LGAustinDavis and I first realized we both got to celebrate the loves of our life on the same day, we knew we had something special on our hands.   Happy birthday to Lori and Blayre — the best First and Second Lady team out there. 💕

Today, I’m praying for the friends and family of the Corporal who was shot and killed while on duty in Chester County. This brave trooper dedicated his career to protecting the people of our Commonwealth, and his sacrifice will never be forgotten. Everyday @PAStatePolice serve our communities proudly and put their lives on the line to protect us. Blayre and I are sending our prayers to the Corporal’s family, his fellow officers, and the entire Pennsylvania State Police. May his memory forever be a blessing.

Great to be back with @AlleghenyDems this morning! I got my start in local politics as a Democratic Committeeman in McKeesport and then served as Vice-Chair of this county party. I’m grateful for their support today and always!

I’m the proud son of a hairdresser and a union bus driver. One of my grandfathers worked for the railroad and the other one was a steelworker. Steel and unions are part of my DNA, just like it is for every brother and sister in the @steelworkers. It is an honor to see the next generation of union workers take up the mantle to protect workers’ rights and take on big corporations. Congratulations Roxanne Brown on becoming the first woman and first person of color to serve as the Steelworkers’ International President. I can think of no better way to start Women’s History Month.

My statement on the attacks in the Middle East:

I grew up in a working class community in a working class family. I’ll always have the backs of working people. Grateful that they have ours!

It’s a hockey night in Pittsburgh!

I strongly oppose the purchase of any warehouse or facility for ICE in Pennsylvania and I encourage Secretary Noem to reconsider these facilities.

Here in Pennsylvania, we’ve been working to build back community trust in our law enforcement officers but ICE’s deployment in our neighborhoods only creates chaos and fear.
