This upcoming nine game homestand feels like essentially their last gasp, especially considering they go on the road to NYY-HOU-MIL immediately afterwards. They probably need to go AT LEAST 6-3 if not 7-2 to put themselves back in a good spot.

Not that my opinion matters much, and of course I’d love to be proven wrong and all those caveats, but I’m officially out on the Mariners being a playoff team. Truly a massive disappointment at nearly all levels including players, manager, and front office.

I’m not sure what you even do Monday. My gut says you have to go all in now with next season up in the air pending a lockout, but I’m not sure this team is just 1-2 bats away. You need Cal/Julio/Naylor et al to hit and they just aren’t.
