As college sports continue to break viewership records, the entertainment ecosystem around them is ballooning, too. Athletic departments across the country are rapidly growing their creative teams to produce content that attracts top recruits, deep-pocketed donors, and new fans.


NCAA teams haven't been posting many March Madness highlights on social media, and when they have, they've been resorting to GIFs, photos, screenshots, and even stick figure drawings. The reason: March Madness content licensing rules. @achristovichh has the details ⬇️

PARTICIPATING TEAMS posting content doesn't hurt the NCAA in the slightest. In fact, their content only helps and enhances the product because they're in the middle of it. I understand all of this is about money, but they ain't losing money when a team posts a cinematic recap.
