I write my synopsis right at the beginning, I find it a lot easier to condense just the outline rather than an entire novel. Just a forward-thinking writer, thinking about writing…

And that's a wrap on the first draft of what I'm falling EMPTY SPACES. It sits at 78660 words. It will be rewritten in the future most likely. Had a lot of fun writing this, it's not the vision yet, it's the furthest a first draft has ever been from it but I'm pleased. #amwriting

You guys, the weirdest thing just happened to me. 👀 So, my aunt called me a few days ago to tell me that my cousin, Bobby, died. It was completely unexpected. She was more than my cousin—she was like a sister to me. My best friend. The person I could count on for anything. And now she's just... gone. Anyway, I had to cancel my business trip to Seattle so I could make it home in time for the funeral in Vermont. I was on my way to the gate at the airport when some lunatic with this crazed look in her eye pulled me aside like she had just seen a ghost. She threw her arms around me like I was her long-lost best friend or something. She even called me by my name without me even telling her what it was. But that wasn't even the strangest part. She grabbed me by the wrist, looked me dead in the eye, and told me, "You will die if you get on that plane." And now I don't know what to do. Because, if she's right, and I get on that plane, I might not make it to my cousin's funeral. But, if she's wrong, and I miss my flight, I won't get the chance to say goodbye—and I'll never forgive myself. @rrreadsbooks I’ve heard it used in the context of cozy mysteries - Makes me think of Agatha Christie books - not too deep, easy to read, but does make you think and leaves you feeling satisfied.

what does “cozy” mean to you guys, in the context of genre? I feel like we’re seeing “cozy” everything these days, and I’m not sure what to make of it

Now that I’m writing again, I can only read a few pages of a book before I set it aside and think, “well, that was interesting, but time to write my own story now.

Hi friends. As I’m preparing to send the book of my heart back into the query trenches this week, I wanted to share some things. Bit of a vulnerable thread coming. 💎

@TheMatthewMaine I agree - it feels wrong. But at the same time, some writers hire other people to write query letters, which is kind of the same thing.

@AustinJ_P_ I would say no. I think it’s something that really needs a personal touch. Agents may also notice its AI and might be less willing to work with you as well.

Is it ok to use AI to write a query letter? Not the book, but the query letter?
