@sanchez_m_m I haven’t heard of those writers, so I’ll have to look them up!
Here’s a few that come to mind: Daphne du Maurier, Virginia Woolf, F. Scott Fitzgerald

What books immediately come to mind when you think of beautiful writing and excellent prose?
I think of Rebecca Ross, Rachel Gillig, and Adalyn Grace.

I’m hearing that YA is an oversaturated market. Which is no good because my book is YA 😡

@rollins_green Right on! Getting the first draft done is a great feeling!

And that's a wrap on the first draft of what I'm falling EMPTY SPACES. It sits at 78660 words. It will be rewritten in the future most likely. Had a lot of fun writing this, it's not the vision yet, it's the furthest a first draft has ever been from it but I'm pleased. #amwriting

You guys, the weirdest thing just happened to me. 👀
So, my aunt called me a few days ago to tell me that my cousin, Bobby, died. It was completely unexpected. She was more than my cousin—she was like a sister to me. My best friend. The person I could count on for anything. And now she's just... gone.
Anyway, I had to cancel my business trip to Seattle so I could make it home in time for the funeral in Vermont. I was on my way to the gate at the airport when some lunatic with this crazed look in her eye pulled me aside like she had just seen a ghost. She threw her arms around me like I was her long-lost best friend or something. She even called me by my name without me even telling her what it was. But that wasn't even the strangest part.
She grabbed me by the wrist, looked me dead in the eye, and told me, "You will die if you get on that plane."
And now I don't know what to do. Because, if she's right, and I get on that plane, I might not make it to my cousin's funeral. But, if she's wrong, and I miss my flight, I won't get the chance to say goodbye—and I'll never forgive myself.
I guess there's only one way to find out... wish me luck.
👆🏻 If any of that sounds interesting to you, then you should probably preorder a copy of INTUITION to find out what happens next. 🤭 This is the plot of my upcoming psychological thriller, releasing this Halloween. All royalties donated to the NDVH. 💜

I celebrated finishing my first draft by going to my town's Italian festival, which makes some appearences in my book. The timing was impeccable!! And yes, my town has... interesting traditions.

@rrreadsbooks I’ve heard it used in the context of cozy mysteries - Makes me think of Agatha Christie books - not too deep, easy to read, but does make you think and leaves you feeling satisfied.

@LFrostWrites I can’t believe this!! Completely unhinged behavior!!!! 😤😂
English

@klhicks912 That’s actually really good! I tried once a day for awhile but got burned out lol.

@cwrose813 Reaching “the end” is such an amazing accomplishment! So cool!!! Wishing you the best as you dive into editing.

Just typed THE END on my new romantasy WIP! Final word count is 105k.
And I’m looking forward to editing it. This one is going back to the query trenches and I am equal parts terrified and cautiously optimistic. #WritingCommunity

English

@TheMatthewMaine I agree - it feels wrong. But at the same time, some writers hire other people to write query letters, which is kind of the same thing.
English

@AustinJ_P_ I would say no. I think it’s something that really needs a personal touch. Agents may also notice its AI and might be less willing to work with you as well.
