@Jennmaich @spencerideas @whittneysmith_ A roadblock I faced when teaching was when a lesson I created was boring. I knew the lesson needed to change, I got over the roadblock by adding a debate at the end. I realized that students should engage in the lesson more rather then listen. Besides, teenagers love arguing!

If students all turn in the same project then they have learned to follow directions. Creating involves collaboration, problem solving, ideating all skills they need.

@Jennmaich @spencerideas @whittneysmith_ The way I would address media literacy with my learners would be to practice and model the research process with them. Being able to walk through the steps and find credible texts is essential for students to improve their media literacy. #LAUNCH #LIUtech

I love the idea of learners being able to research topics they are curious about, asking their own questions while researching and improving on their critical thinking skills all at the same time! #LIUtech

@Jennmaich @spencerideas @ajjuliani @whittneysmith_ The benefits of a failed project is how much they learned along the way. A failed project could mean the end goal of solving a problem was met, however if learners were able to impact community members or a person in office the project was a success even if they “failed”.
