His Magpie Murders and Mayflower Murders has created a whole new plotline for mystery! The Bard would love it!

Sure, Guy Pearce and Adrien Brody are great, but the movie is a cliched, meandering, melodramatic mess that of COURSE argues that it's the destination not the journey in its closing line. Ignore the hype.
