Following on from my diagnosis of lytic lesions I now have to contend with going through an emergency MRI scan to search for myeloma (bone cancer). The back pain is undescribable atm. Nurofen , paracetamol and morphine cannot control I’m feeling, having to sleep upright is bad.

@StockpickB It's a catch 22 situation. Before I had my renal stent removed I had terrible pain, thought it would get better but it's worse. CT scan showed possible lytic lesions which could be caused by rabeprazole. Stopped using them for 2 days and heartburn was awful.

@AustroHungar Been on lansoprazole which is basically the same for nearly 6 years for Barrett's esophagus not had any problems. Read PPIs can cause dementia though

Has anybody used the PPI drug rabeprazole long-term and suffered with bone problems? I have been taken this for over three years and I’m now suffering with weak bones in shoulder and lower back which won't go away.
