Anyone remember when Boris Johnson said in 2020 that the worst case scenario would be losing 200,000 people to C0vid, and we surpassed that in 2022 and nobody cared? How quickly we normalised something that was abhorrent just 2 years earlier.

Can we please stop referring to the pandemic in past tense and climate change in future tense?

All of us were told that we must be willing to make sacrifices unfortunately as it turns out some of us are the sacrifice others are willing to make.

My health and safety are at immediate risk. I’m a disability advocate who shares information about the ongoing pandemic. My advocacy upset Justin so much that he harassed me in multiple posts to his 130k followers, using the R-slur multiple times, mocking my intelligence & appearance, and now using my image on his products without my permission. I’m a disabled person in poverty and can’t tackle this alone. I didn’t know my online presence was so triggering that an insecure CEO needed to steal my image for his own profit. I need help. Please share this post in hopes that someone will be able to help me resolve this swiftly.

@kadamssl Thank you. It's not just brunch, it's relationships, healthcare, special interests and so on. And knowing that most of the world is just fine with leaving us behind.

I have mixed feelings about the “If I’m wrong, all I gave up was brunch” take. I, my family, & many of you have given up more than brunch to try to stay safe & do our part to reduce the spread of this incredibly transmissible & prevalent pathogen. I think that deserves space.

Isn’t it odd that no A list celebrities are speaking out about COVID (mask, IAQ, booster)? Or they have and I missed it?

@catladyactivist I watched a YouTube video the other day of nurses working in a children's ward in 1948. They were wearing masks. I don't understand why people think this is new.

If you're not wearing a mask, you can't complain that flights are delayed, shelves are empty, or there are no doctor's appointments. You are part of the problem.

Your child is not a possession. Your child is not a thing that you own. Your child is not an extension of you. Your child does not owe you anything. Your child is an individual, autonomous person - a full unique human being. And your job is to validate and support them.

@cloudpup_ There's also a third option here, which is to text them saying you have something important to tell them, and ask them whether they'd like it in a text or if they'd prefer to meet. It sounds like you'd both be happier with text though.

@cloudpup_ Unless it was someone I'm really close to I would prefer text, because text allows me time to process and think before responding. Plus I write better than I speak.

@theBrianaMills We got a glimpse in 2020 of what real disability inclusion could look like, and I naively thought it might be the beginning of a big societal shift. But nope, people gleefully threw it away as soon as they could & doubled down on their ableism instead.

I love how most don’t realize how ableist they are. In the beginning, most tried so hard to make things inclusive like online school, streaming concerts. Once you heard you didn’t need to continue, you dropped everything in a second. You left us behind without a thought.

@AutBrainDump It's so difficult because I've been willing to compromise by dining outdoors, and then when I ask my husband to wear a mask to go inside to the toilets he loses it that I'm trying to override his bodily autonomy. I'm like, dude, I just want to feel safe 😞

So full family alienation now almost complete 😭💔 Husband calling my mum who tells him to leave me because I'm just selfish & mentally ill for not wanting SARS and keeping up my mitigations. Fuck all this
