It took me quitting what I thought was my “dream job” to finally understand that my own dreams were buried under a terrible salary, exhaustion from being overworked, selfishness for not hearing my concerns, and the unwillingness to change. I will NEVER experience that again.

Side note #2: it was never my intention to work for someone my entire career. I absolutely planned to have my own practice from day 1. This was just a stepping stone for experience and confidence. I had an issue with “corporate” style PT back in school. I was never sold on it.

Sorry for the negativity. As a new grad, it took me a long time to hear & understand what family and friends were trying to tell me. I hate that new grads are constantly taken advantage of 😅 ya got the wrong one now. Don’t sell yourself short for anyone.

Side note: kids are the best. My patient asked me if i wanted “hanitizer” on the way out 🥺 I’ll never call it hand sanitizer again

I’d just like to point out that manually-resisted isometrics are very much the bees knees 😅 I use them a lot with my athlete clients… they’re an absolute game changer sometimes! I use them to expose weakness in certain positions & to restore AROM. 👏🏽

So I decided not to be a scaredy-cat for once & did a thing. I opened a small kids gym for infants/toddlers to work on gross motor & language skills. We are in the trial phase, but it’s been a very rewarding experience so far😭🥰#kidsgym (pics posted w/consent)

Today was interesting: 1) I got bit on the arm by a 3 y/o pt. I was so shocked. We have been working together for almost a year. He’s my lil buddy. 😣 2) I evaluated my youngest patient yet. The cutest little 3 month old. 😍 #PediPT sometimes my emotions can’t handle you😅
