The celebration for the Rabun County boys basketball state championship team at Wildcat Grill in Tiger is underway. Wildcat Sports Live @live_wildcat will be broadcasting on YouTube tonight with interviews with the team.

Per the NCISAA rule book, Charlotte Christian is subject to the following for canceling its scheduled game with Rabun Gap: - A fine of up to $2,500 payable to the NCISAA - A fine of up to $1,000 payable to the opponent (Rabun Gap in this case) - Forfeiting its ability to host a playoff game this upcoming season. This is because it was a game scheduled by the NCISAA. Football is the only sport where the NCISAA schedules regular season games.

Update to Rabun Gap’s schedule: Rabun Gap and Charlotte Christian will not be playing on Oct. 9 anymore. Charlotte Christian has reportedly decided not to play Rabun Gap this upcoming season. Last year, Rabun Gap hosted Charlotte Christian twice, winning during the regular season but losing to the Knights in the NCISAA semifinals.

📍At the Macon Coliseum today for the Class A Division I boys state championship between Rabun County and Southwest. Rabun County is seeking its first state championship in program history and its second championship in a team sport in school history.
