Saw a mom at the Costco food court struggling with her toddler while wearing a crying baby and also trying to eat…at first I remembered how hard those days were and then I realized I don’t have to sit there, I can help and be the village for a stranger if only for a moment.

@Raja_Sw He he. I remember stuck in a lift for 15 seconds with this guy who asked me 10 qs in that period. I was quite startled by his efficiency.

Just boarded the train with my mom, and there's this guy, probably my age, who is already talking nonstop to me, asking me all sorts of questions. E.g, why is my wife not travelling with me, is she at home taking care of the kids, etc etc. Am already tired, as you can see. :-)

Genuine question raised by salaried individual: If my income is 1 Cr, I will pay Tax of Around 40 Lakhs to government. But then also I will not use government facilities like Hospitals or school etc. Now what if I loose my job and my income dropped to Zero. What will government do for me. What did I get? An editor at a big 5 house just sent me an email explaining that the manuscript I sent him was well written but he did not “connect” with the material enough to move forward. Funny twist: His kind rejection was a template (which I also use and do not hate) But he was responding to my pitch email and never actually ASKED FOR THE MANUSCRIPT.
