Tom Tyler was Captain Marvel, The Phantom, a western star of the 1930's and 1940's, one of the Three Mesquiteers, a supporting actor in many A-list movies, and a Universal Pictures monster, a mummy. Most importantly, Tom got his start in silent film westerns produced by Film Booking Offices of America (FBO) in 1925. During the end of the silent film era in 1929, Tom still made silent films for Syndicate Pictures once his contract with FBO ended. Two of thee later silent films were restored and made available on the @UndercrankProd label in 2025: "The Man from Nevada" and "Law of the Plains", both from 1929.
These appear on the Tom Tyler Silent Film Collection.
