@AdamPage85 Just saw it tonight. Truly a fun movie! And without all the sex, swearing, and violence that have become far too normal! Highly recommend it.

@jaysonyork @Chris_Hohnholz Or the "just like the early chuch" home church movement. An overly reductionistic approach that seeks to remove all modern structure to find a pure and simple model.

@Chris_Hohnholz Because there is some ax to grind behind the scenes that they aren’t saying out loud. Almost always, in my experience, it’s folks involved heavily in parachurch ministry, where doctrine and ecclesiology have no real place in what they are doing

@Pastor_Gabe I watched the TPUSA halftime show. I must be old because I didn't understand most of what they sang either! Might as well have been in Spanish... 😂

By the way, complaining that Bad Bunny performed in Spanish is not the winning play you think it is. He drew 135 million viewers. Stick with the content. Point out that the wrath of God is coming against such things (Colossians 3:5-6). Share the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Several people are making videos of Bad Bunny's halftime show translating lyrics sung in Spanish into English (I haven't watched these videos, but I've seen the lyrics). If none of those words were bleeped out on national television, I hope the NFL and NBC are given hefty fines.

@WWUTTcom His gospel was essentially, "Jesus can give you a second chance." He clearly doesn't know the true gospel. Jesus isn't a reset as if we could do better if we just try again. The good news is that Jesus is a redeemer who lived perfectly and died in the place of sinners.

@ostrachan I'll add that it would be an improvement if it were truly a live show, not just filmed to appear live. I'm sure there are some venues who would be happy to host this. However, this was a great starting point! Love your suggestions!

A few friendly thoughts on the TPUSA halftime show: 1) I like bro-country and am glad TPUSA did the show 2) I am thankful that Kid Rock testified to the cross of Christ (though I don't know his heart) 3) Gabby Barrett was strong--she's a true powerhouse 4) Just in terms of musical performance, I'd recommend a wider range of artists from other genres 5) I'd also recommend some calmer songs, including patriotic standards done beautifully (don't be afraid of quieter and simpler songs) 6) In general, my suggestion would be to aim the whole thing more at the American family with kids, parents, and grandparents watching than aiming it exclusively at thirty-something dads who like hard guitars 7) It would be great to have someone like Frank Turek or Franklin Graham give the simple gospel in brief form 8) But overall, again, I'm thankful that TPUSA did the show, it was solidly done, and it showed us all for roughly the thousandth time that there is a strong market for such content 9) If the family market was really thought through, I think there's MONSTER potential for this sort of programming; traditional and Christian families continue to be a huge sleeper market, as we've been cancelled, negated, and derided for years now--but we're a genuine market force, and we're only starting to wake up in cultural terms 10) In fact, I am bold to hope that we will see an avalanche more of pro-family, pro-country content that is done aesthetically, beautifully, and tastefully

@ekkiet Funny thing, I never read a single word of Calvin when I came to embrace the doctrines of grace. But I sure had read a lot of the Bible.

@JCRyle You are rightly longing for a truly righteous government! There is one coming, but not until the King returns. In the meantime, I vote for and celebrate any political progress that creates and supports righteous laws. Am I wrong?

Virtually all law and governing is moral. Thus, joining hands with the unregenerate and false religions and cults to govern, will not procure the blessing of God, I believe. Not to mention, they primarily hate the laws of God as well. This is why the Republican party will never abolish abortion, seek to overturn gay marriage, etc...

For anyone who is paying attention, it's becoming increasingly clear that the "MAGA movement" or what is now being rephrased as the "American first movement" is being predominately run by Roman Catholic and Mormons. Whether it's the most popular "conservative" podcasters, establishment pro-life movement, grass-roots movements like TPUSA etc... Christian, you are not going to "Make America Great Again" by uniting in pragmatism with the unregenerate, nor are you going to save America from God's wrath by your compromise. The Republican party is not God's "chosen vessel" to bring America to repentance and reformation, and the quicker you learn this, the better. Prepare for suffering. Prepare for persecution. Remember, you live in a nation which sacrifices millions of babies a year and you expect God's blessing? Prepare now for what is coming down the pipe... Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? -1 Corintihans 6:14

The greatest fellowship will always be in the local church. The body of Christ. The Lord uses the fellowship to sharpen, encourage, and convict. Every Christian needs the local church, no matter how young or old, immature or mature. It is a necessity in the Christian life.

If you think putting a cap on credit card interest will help with affordability, then there’s little that can be done for you. That’s not at all how that’s gonna work. You’re simply going to regulate the poor out of access. As price controls always do. But hey, it sounds good.
Gabrielle Clark@GabsClark5

This is why conservatives lose. Affordability is a very serious issue. And nearly everyone in the world has experienced accidents, medical problems, death in the family, or some other catastrophic event that can ruin your life financially.

@WWUTTcom What is "filthy, foolish, or crude"? The Bible doesn't define a set of off-limits words. I believe cultural context does, and you know it when you hear it. Eph 5:4 "Let there be no filthiness nor foolish talk nor crude joking, which are out of place..."

@Vikeologist And what do you propose that we, as fans, do about it? I don’t feel compelled to join you in feeling angry about things I am powerless to change. Being a Vikings fan is a roller-coaster ride, and that is part of the fun. I'm here for entertainment not just Super Bowl or Bust!
