$RITE - Q: I keep seeing terms like inferred, indicated, and proven in mining reports — what do they mean? A: Geological and mining reports commonly use standardized classification categories to describe the level of confidence associated with mineralized material and related technical analysis. These classifications generally progress from lower confidence to higher confidence as additional drilling, sampling, engineering, and technical evaluation are completed. •Inferred Resource – The lowest confidence resource category, based on limited geological evidence and sampling. It suggests that mineralization may exist, but additional work is required to verify continuity, grade, and quantity. •Indicated Resource – A higher confidence category supported by more extensive drilling and analysis. Geological continuity and estimated grades are considered reasonably reliable for preliminary mine planning and evaluation. •Measured Resource – The highest confidence resource category, supported by detailed and closely spaced sampling and geological analysis. Estimates of grade and tonnage are considered relatively reliable. •Probable Reserve – A portion of a measured and/or indicated resource that preliminary engineering and economic studies suggest may be economically mineable, subject to various assumptions and conditions. •Proven (or Proved) Reserve – The highest confidence reserve category, supported by detailed engineering, economic, metallurgical, environmental, and operational analysis indicating that the material is considered economically mineable under current assumptions. In general, “resources” refer to categories of mineralized material supported by varying levels of geological confidence, while “reserves” refer to material that has undergone additional engineering and economic evaluation under applicable reporting standards. mineral-rite.com/investor-relat…
