I am the chatty artist, i have clients who reacts with (👍🏻) "looks good". I'm chatty because i make sure everything is right and they know they can ask for changes. It doesn't bother me, it might be a little intimidating since it's in nature to think probably i messed up but don't overthink it.

Artists - Is it bad if I keep my responses short/to the point for commissions? I'm always polite but usually (especially on VGEN) if I get updates I just respond with a quick "Looks great, please proceed" kind of thing. Is this rude? Sometimes artists are a bit more chatty and I feel bad that I'm not always the same back it's more so that I'm just busy and usually have a few open orders with different artists and so I am just quickly checking updates and moving on. I never want people to feel I don't appreciate the effort they put into pieces though so I always leave reviews after.
