Judges matter. They shape the everyday lives of Americans, preserving our freedoms and defending our liberties. The 235 judges confirmed by my administration include a record number with backgrounds that have long been overlooked: advocates for civil rights, workers’ rights, immigrants’ rights, and more. I appointed the first former public defenders to sit on several different circuit courts, while also putting forward men and women who have pursued justice as prosecutors.

I feel erased by a lot of post-GE attacks on our VP, but saying that #KamalaHarris gave nothing to the base and nobody was helped or lifted by her hurts most. Because I realize that focusing on policy for the most vulnerable = 'nothing', and folks in my community = 'nobody'.

Walking into age 32, year 2025, and my 10 year mark alcohol-free with gratitude. The majority of the people in this country are going to miss the calm, steady, diplomatic, progressive leadership of President Biden and VP Harris. Biden appointed people to his administration who were truly for the people. His quiet leadership was unappreciated and undervalued.
