1/8 First visit of the German embassy to #Khartoum since the outbreak of the war. Our Ambassador returned to the city to gain a first-hand understanding of the situation on the ground and to reconnect with partners.

The Jebel Mara area of Sudan is beautiful, isolated and desperately short of services. It needs a scale-up from local and international organisations alike, for which facilitation is needed from all the authorities of Sudan as well as support from the international donors.

I only spoke to @MuzanAlneel a few times years ago, when she was worried about Sudanese workers in 🇱🇧 after the port explosion. It was clear she truly cared and always did her best to help others. Rest in peace — you were a kind, strong, and brilliant soul.

Once again, in #Sudan, healthcare has been struck at its heart. On 2 April, a drone attack reportedly carried out by the Rapid Support Forces targeted Al‑Jabalain Hospital in White Nile. There were two strikes, one hit the operating theatre and the other one the maternity ward.
