A Tesla Cybertruck ended up submerged in Grapevine Lake, Texas, after the driver reportedly attempted to test the vehicle’s “Wade Mode.” According to police, the truck quickly became disabled and started taking on water, forcing the occupants to abandon the vehicle before first responders recovered it from the shoreline. Tesla’s owner manual states Wade Mode is designed for shallow water crossings up to approximately 32 inches (815 mm).
