Sent the link to a recent virtual seminar of mine to my folks. Glad I did. They loved it. Easy to forget that this (huge) part of me/my life is something they’ve never seen. They had so many questions after...not about the paper but just about our professional life #EconTwitter

#ASSA2020 coincidence: taxi driver omw to the hotel immigrated from Afghanistan to Germany and then the US. He told me that his brother received his Econ PHD in Bonn and then taught economics in Germany.
