Here’s a full explanation of what the new “V-Bucks being spent” scam is: Some people who sign into Discord and Telegram bots to “skincheck” their Fortnite account are losing V-Bucks. Here’s what’s happening: If you use these bots, you give the bot an authorisation code, basically a login token to your Epic Games account, and in return the bot can send you a photo of all your cosmetics. However, the owners of SOME of these bots are very sketchy. For example, a well known Telegram bot called “Raika” has been exposed in the past, making accounts that are logged into the bot use certain Support a Creator codes. As in, if you pay the owner, he’ll force load your creator code into thousands of accounts. Similar things are starting to happen now. With in-island transactions being added, owners of these bots can force your account to purchase island transactions for any map they want. More than likely, map creators are paying the bot owners to force these transactions so they make money, similar to past situations with Raika. If you are logged into ANY Discord or Telegram bots, the ONLY way to fully log out is by changing your password, which signs you out of everything, making you re-sign in again. Keep safe! 🧡
