He Shoves Tonight 💨 Emerson Hancock o17.5 Outs (-112) #TridentsUp vs #Athletics Labbed w/ @QuentinLocks 📲 Like Hancock to get through 6 tonight and give the Mariners a nice outing once again to kick off this series. He has gone over this line in 3/4 starts so far. The only under coming against the Astros where he had his only start with multiple walks. Hancock will face the A’s who have been better against righties compared to lefties, but still not all that great, especially on the road. They are 24th in wRC+ and 27th in OBP when facing righties on the road. This A’s team is also very aggressive at the plate. They swing at the 6th most pitches and have the 2nd highest first pitch swinging rate in the league. Hancock has been really great to start the year. He ranks in the 80th percentile in xERA (2.79), 82nd in K%, 89th in BB% and 81st in Hard-Hit%. The A’s don’t have a ton of experience against him. They are 4-23 combined against him all time. The Mariners have had a pretty busy bullpen the last series against the Rangers, using guys back to back days a couple times and overall just a decent volume. Like Emerson to give them the depth tonight.
