🚨⚒️ Declan Rice on facing West Ham: “It's a club that gave me everything. Without West Ham, there's no me. I honestly believe that. They gave me a chance when Chelsea didn't”. “A lot of people there really did push me on. Moyes, Bilic, and Pellegrini made me captain. There's loads of good things about that club”. “It's not nice to see the position they are, but it's football and I have a job to do. We're trying to win a Premier League title. May the best team win”

@SirLeoBDasilva Everton took the match personal. They wanted to repay Arteta's long service for the club. I am banking on Brentford to do it for Raya and Crystal Palace to do it for Eze.

Hello @WestHam is this how your team would chose to relegate at the end of the EPL season without putting up a fight? Your readiness to stay in the EPL would be tested next by Arsenal. It's up to you to show that you desperately want this. Goodluck, It is not over.

I grew up in Anambra State, and I saw this up close. One of my classmates’ fathers served as a Commissioner under Peter Obi. Let me make it very clear: Peter Obi didn’t build his cabinet around career politicians. He deliberately brought in professionals from different fields, people who already had established careers before government. My classmate’s dad is a senior lawyer with law chambers in Anambra, Abia, and now Lagos. After serving in government, he simply returned to legal practice. No drama, no clinging to power. His Chief of Staff, who later became Commissioner for Information, was a professor and lecturer. When the administration ended, she went straight back to academia. That was the pattern. These were people who had something to return to, so they weren’t in office to survive. they were there to serve. Compare that to the usual system dominated by career politicians, where public office becomes a permanent livelihood, and you’ll understand the difference immediately. It’s really not complicated: When you appoint professionals, they serve and go back to their lives. When you appoint career politicians, they stay and turn governance into a career.
Pamilerin Adegoke@Pamilerin

Pls, where are the Commissioners and SSAs who served under Peter Obi during his time in Anambra State?

Politics is a crazy game..This minute you’re so sure of ticket, the next minute it’s looking like you’re not even in the conversation.. It’s not for the faint hearted..When you’re denied ticket, you’ll start calculating may be to wait for the next 4yrs or join an unpopular party to contest… The fact that they will be calling you “incoming” when they know you won’t get ticket is killing me 😂

@TheGreatestIFE The so called Nwa boy apprenticeship model is rooted in Yoruba culture too. Just that our people became "woke" and do not want to be "enslaved".

The Yorubas need to learn and adapt the Igbo’s Nwa Boy Apprenticeship Model. Yoruba Apprenticeship (Omo Ise) is not well organized and structured as the Igbo Apprenticeship (Nwa boys). For the Yorubas the Omo Ise pays to learn the trade, sponsors his/her graduation (Freedom) after 3-5yrs, then left with little or nothing to start up. For the Igbo the Nwa Boy knows on graduation after 4-6yrs, the settlement from his boss (Oga) is enough capital to start. They produce young millionaires outside school system faster in Nigeria.

@DetHailMichNE @UtdMaI The Conference format in America is wack, Inter Miami vs Orlando City match is a proof. All teams in the league should face each other home and away. San Jose Earthquakes of the Eastern Conference won't play Orlando City. Nah! Everyone should face the same heat and breeze.

@UtdMaI As an American who recently got into watching my biggest question is, why don’t they have playoffs? I couldn’t imagine any of our leagues just handing out the championship to the 1 seed and not playing for a title.

Explain this to me like I’m a one-year-old: Why do Manchester City always seem to have one or two games in hand when the season’s nearly done and it’s the same story every year?

Welcome back. It was very wrong joining force with them in the first place. Those rogues in ADC won't work with you. Join force with your kind and build from ground up.
Peter Obi@PeterObi

Fellow Nigerians, good morning. I woke up this morning after my church service with a deeply reflective heart, and despite every constraint, I felt compelled to share these thoughts with you. Many people do not truly understand the silent pains some of us carry daily—the private struggles, emotional burdens, and quiet battles we face while trying to survive and serve sincerely in difficult circumstances. We now live in an environment that has become increasingly toxic, where the very system that should protect and create opportunities for decent living often works against the people—a society where intimidation, insecurity, endless scrutiny, and discouragement have become normal. More painful is when some of those you associate with, believing you would find understanding and solidarity among them, become part of the pressure you face. Some who publicly identify with you privately distance themselves or join in unfair criticism. We live in a society where humility is mistaken for weakness, respect is seen as a lack of courage, and compassion is treated as foolishness—a system where treating people equally is questioned simply because you refuse to worship status, tribe, class, or power. Personally, I have never looked down on anyone except to uplift them. I have never used privilege, position, or resources to oppress others, intimidate the weak, or make people feel small. To me, leadership has always been about service, sacrifice, and helping others rise. Let me state clearly: my decision to leave the ADC is not because our highly respected Chairman, Senator David Mark, treated me badly, nor because my leader and elder brother, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, or any other respected leaders did anything personally wrong to me. I will continue to respect them. However, the same Nigerian state and its agents that created unnecessary crises and hostility within the Labour Party that forced me to leave now appear to be finding their way into the ADC, with endless court cases, internal battles, suspicion, and division, instead of focusing on deeper national problems and playing politics built more on control and exclusion than on service and nation-building. Even within spaces where one labours sincerely, one is sometimes treated like an outsider in one’s own home. You and your team become easy targets for every failure, frustration, or misunderstanding, as though honest contribution has become a favour being tolerated rather than appreciated. And when you choose to leave so that those you are leaving can have peace, and you step out into the cold, you are still maligned and your character is questioned. Despite all your efforts to continue working for a better Nigeria and engaging people with sincerity and goodwill, those who do not wish you well continue to attack your character and question your intentions. There are moments I ask God in prayer: Why is doing the right thing often misconstrued as wrongdoing in our country? Why is integrity not valued? Why is the prudent management of resources, especially when invested in critical areas like education and healthcare, wrongly labelled as stinginess? Why are humility and obedience to the rule of law often taken to be weakness rather than discipline? Let me assure all that I am not desperate to be President, Vice President, or Senate President. I am desperate to see a society that can console a mother whose child has been kidnapped or killed while going to school or work. I am desperate to see a Nigeria where people will not live in IDP camps but in their homes. I am desperate for a country where Nigerian citizens do not go to bed hungry, not knowing where their next meal will come from. Yet, despite everything, I remain resolute. I firmly believe that Nigeria can still become a country with competent leadership based on justice, compassion, and equal opportunity for all. A new Nigeria is POssible. -PO

@Yinkasports @papshine_t A lot could be hidden until the deed is done. Desire can be faked before marriage but can't be faked in marriage. That is the reason I advised that guys must be very sure the lady desires them as much as they desire her. Because we are often too busy chasing her to notice.

@Ayubmojoyin @papshine_t Communication is not just talking, a lot would be uncovered and enough to deduce whether or not progression is what the parties involved passionately want. It involves alignment in faith, family life, purpose & preferences. The essence of these is lost when dopamine leads.

I sat beside a married man at an event today First thing he asked: "Are you married?" I said no. He just smiled and said: "Good… because I’m trying not to commit adultery." Omo… my attention complete Then he asked: "Is it normal for a husband to always be the one to initiate intimacy?" I reminded him I’m not married But it looked like the man just needed someone to talk to. He said they have 2 kids… And in all their years together, he’s always the one making the first move. Not like his wife refuses… according to him, 8 out of 10 times, she agrees. But he said… "Sometimes I want to feel wanted too." Omo… that line hit me. He said women at work, even around his neighbourhood, show interest… But he has never cheated. Now he’s tempted… Not because he lacks intimacy… But because he misses feeling desired. What's the best advice for him?

Thank you to the APC leaders, executives, and party members across Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency who signed my nomination form. As the form could accommodate only 120 names and signatures, I sincerely apologize to the thousands of party members who also expressed interest in signing the form but couldn’t be included. Thank you all.
