After several intense, rewarding, and truly incredible years, I’m excited to share that I’ve officially completed my PhD at the Weizmann Institute of Science. 🎓 1/3

Perfect timing as I approach the end of my PhD — thrilled to share our latest paper exploring the effect of antibiotic treatment on microbiome development in premature infants, which I had the pleasure of leading together with the brilliant @smadarshilo 🩺

This past weekend, I had the privilege of presenting my PhD research on Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) and its potential to enhance our understanding of metabolic health and clinical diagnostics at the Diabetes Statistics and Clinical Meeting (DISC). 1/4

🔎 Multiple sensitivity analyses were conducted. Adjusting for dietary habits via real-time food logging showed minimal impact on our core results. BMI associations also replicated in an independent cohort, highlighting their generalizability. 4/5

Analyses of Continuous Glucose Monitor data from 8000+ "healthy adults" offers many insights. ~40% who had a morning fasting glucose in "normal range" turned out to be prediabetic and 3% were diabetic. Wearing a CGM once a year is worth it. nature.com/articles/s4159…

Our new paper @NatureMedicine is out: tinyurl.com/4ckhwcc9 We measured glucose levels continuously in 8,315 people and show high intrapersonal variability in morning fasting glucose (FG) levels We find that for 5,328 individuals who would have been considered to have normal FG based on the first FG measurement, 40% and 3% would have been reclassified as having glucose in the prediabetes and diabetes ranges, respectively, based on sequential measurements throughout the study. We thus propose that continuous glucose monitoring should be used to classify people's glycemic status We further find that FG levels rise 0.23 mg/dl per year with age, and reveal other associations of FG levels and clinical measures Our analyses are based on data from the Human Phenotype Project (HPP), which researchers can access here: tinyurl.com/4y5x47f7 Great work led by @AyyaKeshet @smadarshilo @H_Rossman @nastya_godneva

Excited to see our latest paper published in @NatureMedicine! nature.com/articles/s4159… We investigated glucose levels in a large cohort of more than 8,000 individuals, highlighting significant fluctuations in morning fasting glucose. 1/4
