@CountryGulshan No one can match amrish puri screen presence as a villain in indian cinema. People even come to see him as a villain which is why he was in demand more than a hero...

Why did Amrish Puri always take one rupee more than the hero of the film?
Amrish Puri's way of asking for money was so unique that you would be surprised to hear it.
In the 90s, no villain was bigger than him, and he used to charge the highest fees for films.
Whenever someone offered him a film, the first thing he did was look at the story.
If he liked the story, he would ask only one question: Who is the hero and how much is his fee?
As soon as he knew the hero's fee, he would say:
“Just give me one rupee more than the hero, nothing more is needed.”
This was his style, and people did pay him more than the hero.
In the history of Indian cinema, he was one of the actors who charged more than the hero.
Nowadays, where the hero gets 100, the villain only gets a small portion. But Amrish Puri's demand was of a completely different level.
He left this world in 2005, but by then he had earned about 150 crores just from films.
Today he is not with us 😢
But what he gave to Indian cinema will always be remembered.

As per Insider rumors, Ajay Devgn hooked up with Rakul Preet and Illeana D Cruz during shooting of their movies together
He gave them 5-5 more movies & when Kajol threatened to leave him & take 70% of his net worth as alimony, he stopped this. This is the reason he is always writing love notes for Kajol on social media these days.

The clarity of a Roman aqueduct from 2000 years ago that still flows today."
This isn't just any old ruin. it's a living piece of history hidden beneath the Smyrna Agora in İzmir (ancient Smyrna), Türkiye.
Dating back to the Roman era (with possible Hellenistic roots ~2,300 years ago), this underground water channel was part of a sophisticated gravity-fed system that supplied fresh water to the bustling ancient marketplace, public baths, fountains, and homes. The main visible section is ~150 meters long, over 2 meters high and 90cm wide, tall enough for a person to walk inside. It was rebuilt after a major earthquake in 178 AD under Emperor Marcus Aurelius.
Roman engineering brilliance:
Precise gradients (often 1:1,000 or better) for steady gravity flow, no pumps needed.
Durable stone construction with advanced hydraulics.
Romans didn't invent aqueducts (earlier examples from Mesopotamia, Minoan Crete, etc.), but they mastered and scaled them massively across their empire. Many still function today because they were built for eternity, not just the next decade.
The water still flows year-round from natural springs, creating that hypnotic, crystal-clear stream you see. It now mainly irrigates the archaeological site. (Note: Modern tests show it's not potable due to nitrates/arsenic, but the flow itself is incredible.)
In an age where modern infrastructure often fails within decades, this 2,000-year-old channel keeps working perfectly. It’s a powerful reminder of what happens when civilizations prioritize long-term thinking, quality materials, and real expertise.
We visit these sites as tourists and marvel... but the real lesson? Build things that last. The Romans understood legacy.
What ancient wonder blows your mind the most? 🇹🇷🏛️💧 #RomanEngineering #AncientHistory #SmyrnaAgora #Izmir
