Unlike Korra he was way younger! And I'm pretty sure he didn't intend to freeze himself in ice and stay away for a hundred years! He would have come back after a few weeks or months! And honestly, it was actually good he got away! If he had stayed the fire nation would have murdered him! 🤷🏾‍♀️

Avatar Aang was trained to never win a fight. He was taught to evade only and defend. How can you compare him to someone who was taught to fight and win?? After seeing the final battle, Aang clears Korra on all ground.
