Look at them smile, shooting without fear of retaliation. The aftermath of the 2014 coup d’etat was a nationwide pogrom, a reign of terror against everything Russian. Thousands of innocents were killed. More were kidnapped, tortured, raped, all recorded in UNHCR reports, but your media never told you about it. Instead, they pretended it wasn’t happening, and framed Russia’s outrage at what was happening as fake propaganda. The move in 2014 would’ve been to annex Donbas and call it a day, but Putin refused to do that, and we strung him along for years w/the (admitted) phony Minsk Accords while we prepared Ukraine for war. Russia only launched the war when it thought it had no other move, but even then the small and unprepared force they sent in, and the long time before partial mobilization, shows that they didn’t want to have a big fight. At every step since 2014, Putin was diplomatic in the extreme. What you see in this video was happening all over the country. The Ukrainian President bragged that children in Donbas would cower in basements while children in Kiev went to school. The American security establishment wanted this war and did everything to guarantee it. It’s now confirmed that Putin & Zelensky had a deal in place just months into the war, and we sabotaged it by threatening to pull our financial support unless the Ukrainians kept fighting. Now, we sanction terrorist attacks against international infrastructure, we back a regime that’s banned opposition parties as well as the Russian Orthodox Church, and has had politicians suspected of disloyalty assassinated by armed gangs. They had to close the Ukrainian borders and send out round-up squads because so many Ukrainians men didn’t want to fight in this war. We destroyed Iraq. We destroyed Afghanistan. We destroyed Libya. We destroyed Syria by proxy, and now we’ve destroyed Ukraine. It makes me sick.
