Today was just the pre-order for Finest. I expect odds to be released sometime between now and actual release date. At that time, I'll be able to do a proper in-depth analysis. Since Midnight actually drops this week, I have a post in mind on my strategy for these two releases, which I'll probably put together tonight.

2025/26 Topps Midnight NBA With Midnight dropping this week, I figured I’d throw together a quick breakdown to help folks understand what they’re actually buying. Like last year’s unlicensed version, Midnight is themed around the concept of… night. It’s a sleek one-pack box with 7 cards total, 3 of which are autos. This product technically debuted last year under the 2023/24 banner, despite releasing in early 2025. Fast forward one year and we’re already at 2025/26. I’m not going to try to make that make sense. You're on your own. I understand licensing matters. And yes, Midnight looks low-key pretty cool. But here’s the part worth pausing on: 2025/26 boxes are trading north of $1,000 on the secondary market, while the extremely similar 2023/24 product can be found easily for $250/box. Different rookie classes, sure. But 2023 included a fairly notable guy named Wemby. And many of the established stars have autos in both releases. Since I claim this channel is about value, I’d be doing a disservice not to at least mention that. Again, I won't try to make it make sense. Not my lane. Anyway, let’s look at the numbers. Total cards in product: 2025/26- 374,360 2023/24 (unlicensed)- 295,680 This represents a modest YOY of 26.6% Base card print run: 654 copies each From a production standpoint, this lines up cleanly with a typical Sapphire release and is very similar to the recent Pixar Gold run, which came in just under 350k total cards. That’s exactly what you’d expect from a 7-card box with a $600 EQL price. Conclusion: If you manage to hit EQL or release-day pricing, it’s a pretty safe flip. Basketball RPAs have always carried weight, and with 3 autos per hobby box plus 50/50 RPA potential tied to a strong rookie class, these boxes will absolutely generate hype. Whether that hype is worth $1,000+ is a separate conversation. Total production: Hobby – 53,480 boxes (6,685 cases of 8 boxes) Hit Frequencies/box: Autos- 3 Inserts- 1.5 Parallels- 1.4 # Cards- 1.7 Rookie Jersey Autos should fall 1 in every 2 boxes on avg. A little over 56% of all autos in the product are numbered.
