⚖️ One of the key mechanisms behind CDP protocol stability is price arbitrage. If $AZUSD is below $1, borrowers can buy it for less than the debt they assumed and repay their loans at a discount. The inverse mechanism happens anytime $AZUSD is above $1, where users can open positions to mint and sell in order to capture the arbitrage. This is key to understanding decentralized CDP stablecoins. $AZUSD is stable in Azos, not in markets.

💡 $AZUSD is used to repay debt borrowed through a user’s vault page. You can view your current loans from your account page. 💻 $AZUSD does not use a redemption mechanism. Instead, repayment is used to unlock the collateral staked for a loan. 🔓

🛠️ We built $AZUSD so environmental assets could participate directly in DeFi. Assets like $TGN, $kVCM, and $HLSp can be deposited into vaults to borrow $AZUSD debt while remaining overcollateralized. The vault infrastructure is at the core of the Azos Protocol, and where people pay off debt using $AZUSD.
