@Fours441 Based on what I remember after their reworks, they At most needed a little buff in the damage department. This was before Steel Path was added.

@AzraelDergyDerg Well both Ember and Vauban got pretty significant retouches lately that vastly improved their gameplay in recent times over their somewhat botched reworks.

Nobody asked but here's my tier list on how frames stand in the game ATM. I think most of them are in a perfectly good spot, but there are still quite a few who could use a few spots of love.

@Fours441 I was playing when they did Ember and Vauban. Both needed full reworks. They also didn’t have scaling damage like they do now.

@Fours441 Your post said for him to have a rework, not a retouch. A retouch would be updating them to the current standards of the game, which DE is notoriously bad at. Nekros was released in 2013 and hasn’t really been touched except once or twice. The vast majority from then do need to.

@AzraelDergyDerg Again, just because he's useable doesn't mean he's good. A lot of frames were useable before they got retouches.

@Fours441 Except his 4 is. The augment reduces damage that Nekros takes based on how many summons and ability strength. The summons damage scales off of ability strength and the summons level. He isn’t an every mission type of frame, more like the endless missions only.

That's a lot of effort to wring functionality out of a bunch of abilities that clearly aren't even meant to work like that. Like, obviously his 4 isn't meant to be used like some weird damage resistance ability, it's supposed to be this big scary army of the dead that goes around killing your enemies, but as-is right now it can't do that shit. And we are not counting Gloom in this situation, Gloom is part of the Holy Helminth Trinity.

@Fours441 If you use his 4 with the augment and 214% ability strength, at 7 summons it reduces damage by 90%. Add adaptation and you are tanky. His 2? Bad. Replace with Garuda’s or sevagoth’s ability from helminth. His 1st? Enemies under 25% health are instantly killed, plus augment.

He is JUST the Despoil frame. His other 3 abilities are borderline useless. His 1 does jack shit, his 4 doesn't really do anything other than momentarily distracting some enemies and maybe give you some Eximus buffs, and while his 2 can get some stuff done due to it's armor strip, the fact that it causes enemies to run away from you is more counter-productive than it is helpful. Which is extra annoying because as the Necromancer frame he's got a lot of thematic potential that's not really being lived up to, and it's largely because Warframe today is a completely different game than the one he was created in.
