There's unironically people who say that Leandros is hated because, "He reminds you how an actual Space Marine acts and you Imperium larpers just don't like that." Never mind that Calgar, the fucking Chapter Master, was furious over what happened to Titus and Leandros objectively disobeyed Codex regulations. He did everything wrong, and the lore supports that. If Space Marine 2 was a Warhammer animation, Titus would have been shot in the head at the end because he survived, therefor must be corrupted by chaos because its satire and imperium evil. So no possible positive ending for him or earned respect because get it, even when people are good the imperium isn't, so all good deeds get punished everytime and they kill off all their best soldiers like bad guys do.

@uukhanu Yes actually. The nicest adaptation of Amanda Waller we ever got was from Bruce Timm's DCAU. Aside from that. From adaptations past and beyond, she gets over the top evil. Cecil's only big mistakes were planting a chip in Mark's head and keeping Conquest alive.

@zanzimez One way I've heard of doing it convincingly is that you actually study up on a subject in question. Like say how to repair a pipe or make a cake. Doesn't matter. All that matters is you study, figure it out for yourself and do it. Then the character just does the process fast.
