@Overlord_Manga Oh for sure. I highly doubt it is the devs either. Probably the same executive or shareholder that thinks people don't like turn based games anymore.

@AzureSeishin 7R was supposed to give time to all the small spots they only glaced over in the OG, to give each area "its full potential" or something. A trilogy of parts means more income in the long run. Thats the only reason they made 7R into 3 pieces. To earn more money.

Then stop trying to makes games that are 300 hours long with hyper-realistic graphics! Stylized art and like 40 hours max for a JRPG. The games only take that long to develop because they choose to make them take that long.

@Overlord_Manga That is a whole different thing. I still say there is absolutely no reason they needed to split the game into parts. They are just artificially inflating the playtime because someone at SE thinks we all want stupidly long games for no reason.

@AzureSeishin But... the games arent that long. Take 7R for example. It is a short ass game that is haunted by forced walking to increase game length. Its dev choices to slow down exploration and movement that creates these insane long play hours. Not that the game is large.

And before anyone says it is the gamers that demand the high end graphics... Mewgenics sold over 1m copies on Steam within 1 week. Slay the Spire 2 has already sold 3m copies. High end graphics are not essential to creating a successful game!!

The extent to which AAA publishers will try to gaslight gamers into thinking AI is good is crazy. It isn't good and they know it isn't. They just want you to think it is so that they can use it to cut costs, reduce staff, and maximize profit.

It was as terrible as I expected. I am in so much pain that I just blacked out when I finally made it to my car. I only woke up because ironically the hospital called to schedule my apt with a specialist. I have to somehow do this again tomorrow.
