@myanimelist Frieren S2 dropped to 8.94, but somehow, miraculously, it started climbing back up. Normally, when an anime ends, its MAL score keeps dropping until it settles at a certain point. But somehow, it’s the only anime in existence whose score consistently increases after it ends.

@Deliquentreview @Okeanix1 If you investigate the MALnewbie issue (which is what I think hes referring to) you can see it happens a lot in the past 2 years. You think it's a way to ban people temporarily instead of a bug with the log in? Also I have links to around 600 SBR bots, most didnt have that issue

@Deliquentreview @Okeanix1 Im not the one who thinks theres a big conspiracy to keep Frieren at number 1 by removing (and now adding back) votes (instead of not counting them like they were doing) and by stopping people from temporarily logging in (what would that even accomplish) Maybe try Occams Razor

⚠️ Thousands of users on MyAnimeList reported that they couldn’t log in. The reason was that they were banned for rating Frieren low. MAL has now reverted the changes and added the removed votes back (they still don’t affect the score), but they are visible in the stats.

@Deliquentreview @Okeanix1 From researching it I only found a Reddit post from 2 years ago about "MALnewbie" accounts (bugged, maybe happens when you get flagged for being a bot or through other ways) If you think this is all a conspiracy to keep Frieren's rating high you are just blinded by hate

Anyways, in a few days when MAL removes botted accounts everything will settle and everyone will inevitably blame Frieren fans again. I just wonder if MAL can catch so many review bomb accounts

The only reason SBR is that high to begin with is because it is botted with a LOT of 10/10's. Analysed 400~ 10/10 stars and around 80% of those were bots, 40% also review bombed Frieren. Wouldn't be weird if out of the 40k 10/10s it has, 15-20k at LEAST are bots.
