@monarchAIP The Thumb at the very least has the fact that they actually seem to respect authority in all forms and the Middle has a lot going on under the hood (feigned loyalty that masks jealousy, as shown by envy skills, literal middle brother syndrome).

@monarchAIP Not really at all, it might be a result of the things I've been in contact with but the Ring is so dreadfully played out. Also, just naming things after artforms doesn't give them any more narrative depth.

@monarchAIP If anything Callisto is kind of a self-aware commentary on this because his gore-for-gore's sake art is diagetically seen as boring and outmoded.

@monarchAIP The Ring is boring because the concept is stale. Insane artist who uses gore/violence as their medium is very well trod territory and the ring hasn't made many meaningful departures from it that deepen its core concept/characterization.

@Gebinahqueen I think that your analysis of Rien's indulgence in the prescripts is pretty shallow. It's made abundantly clear throughout Canto IX that Rien hates following the prescripts.

@siuansanche10 I can't answer for every 40k fan (thank God) but that's definitely not what I've seen. New model releases like the Sanguinary Guard are consistently clowned on for getting rid of decorativism and Reivers are pretty consistently shelfwarmers.
