DIY enrichment tip, get an empty peanut butter jar, poke some dime sized holes in it and fill it with kibble. Easy food dispenser toy :D

It’s almost as if humanity has enslaved itself to this scripture of reason, and we all must force ourselves to be more reasonable and less feeling to navigate this man-made world. We’re losing touch with ourselves. Our soft bodies are turning into cheap metal.

It’s really sad to witness, we as a species are in this phase where we expect each other to act as unfeeling productive machines. That’s not what we are. That’s not something we could ever achieve. The systems in place alienates the feeling human and empowers robotic AI.

Humans are, before anything else, emotional beings. Our ability to reason and analyze are secondary characteristics. I feel if more people tapped into this truth we would have a less emotionally frustrated world.

Regardless, I don’t expect anyone to internalize this as a robust piece of evidence for animal autonomy, but this experience did help me so I thought I’d share it 🤍

I did ask her about how she feels by zoophilia, and she genuinely said she was scared of me being one at first, but that was due to a lack of experience with zoos. She knows we’re friends and I’d never do anything to make her less trusting in the world.

Life update! I’m unsure if I mentioned this before but I am a practicing spiritualist. I’ve learned how to communicate with animal’s higher selves! I’ve had so many good conversations about what it’s like being their species and how they navigate the world.

@Balldropper305 -Many domestic animals act sympathetic and comforting to sad owners -Yes we can, that’s what training is for -Yes they can, that’s why service animals are a thing -We also engage in interspecies sex for a reason -Humans arguably don’t mate for life (can have many partners)

@B0NEBiTE They can smell the hormones in your brain but they are not aware about the situation. You cannot communicate with them nor with they acknowledge your issues. We breed with our own species for a reason. And hey! We mate for life right? They don’t.

I think a lot of people undermine the true social/emotional knowledge dogs have. I wish I knew how to love so selflessly, to smell emotions and act with compassion. Having a friend who’s a dog can really help you see the world with kinder eyes

@Ihatethisapp_1 That’s all just presumption. For example if you tell a dog it’s bathtime they’ll have an adverse reaction and if you tell them it’s walk time they’ll have a positive reaction. These can be translated to “I don’t want to do that” and “i want to do that” respectively

Honestly, the more I argue with anti’s about being pro-contact the more validated I feel in the stance. I have yet to hear a sound argument on why animals can’t consent to sex with humans

@sapfirevixen @AskeladdGeorge @electro_wulf Yes, but preventing sex for them could cause frustration and actively limits their autonomy. It’d be like banning heterosexual sex to prevent men from taking advantage of women. Sure, it might stop some unhealthy encounters but it would inflate statutory rape

@sapfirevixen @AskeladdGeorge @electro_wulf We’re literally debating on if it’s rape or not. If you have the capacity for empathy, you’d know I don’t view what i’m supporting as rape. Also it’s not a strawman to point out where your parallel logic fails on a moral basis

@gangstanoodle1 I would say no due to the fact toddlers are not sexually developed and the many cultural that would cause the toddler to be traumatized. There are ways to communicate to animals, you just have to meet them halfway and not be a douche that expects them to know perfect english

@AskeladdGeorge @sapfirevixen @electro_wulf If brain capacity were the reason kids couldn’t consent then many disabled people couldn’t have sex. People with mental disorders that cause them to be impulsive have less developed prefrontal lobes for example. Also, every sexually producing animal has a courtship practice

@B0NEBiTE @sapfirevixen @electro_wulf Cultural factors? Are you serious? Kids can't consent to adults because they do not have the brain capacity of an adult and it is rape and abuse to be in a relationship with a minor. Same with animals. There is absolutely no way of them telling you "yes" to a romantic relationship

@AskeladdGeorge @sapfirevixen @electro_wulf “thinking like humans” Is such a narrow minded statement. There is no one way a human being thinks. Also, there definitely are elder folks with dementia, alzheimer’s and whatnot that age regress to younger years. Doesn’t mean divorce is morally obligated

@B0NEBiTE @sapfirevixen @electro_wulf Elder people don't have the brain capacity of a 2 year old. Animals can't think like humans therefore they can't consent to a romantic relationship with a human. Get over it, this is harmful for animals. I don't see why you'd even defend zoophiles unless you're one yourself
