Hate being that guy but majority of these posts are all engagement bait and studies and findings that were done a year or longer ago. I read some of these when they came out. X is not a reliable source for news on anything, especially academia.

Top 14% isnt bad considering the leaderboard doesnt register Soss for her so it thinks i'm on deathmatch, i'm also using a diff team to most people (Columbina Jahoda Durin) so it hasnt calculated that and assumes i'm running Flins :]

I'd like to start comparing characters at very high levels of investment too, I'm talking near perfect builds you'd find in like top 300 on an akasha leaderboard. In general, I'd like to be able to see both the floor AND the ceiling.

From actual calcs made with slightly higher assumptions, the relative ranking between team stays the same, everything that was below Lauma HB stays below Lauma HB before and afer for example

@B3lph @jmfe10 @FlipMeAC As for "increase everything by the same factor" - this is untrue. Teams that rely on occasional HB chip damage will fall down in rankings at high investment. The gap between Mualani and Mavuika will narrow. In general transformative reactions gain less than vape/melt from this.

@B3lph @jmfe10 @FlipMeAC We don't need to be "building anew". You can make updates to KQMs, but there hadn't been any, and that's the problem. The standard isn't even versioned, it's still. If you take what KQMs is and adjust it then it's still a "new standard" but we're not reinventing the wheel.

As for the laws example, it was just to illustrate that's it's easier to fix the existing than to create the new

It's like saying "this might be wrong" and when asked "okay, so what's correct?" you just shrug it off. (2/2)

And no model can reflect the reality, best you can do is approximate, and I'd say kqms is good at that

@B3lph @jmfe10 @FlipMeAC But adding a disclaimer "this is not KQMs" *is* not framing it that way. To "frame it that way" I'd have to go out of my way and conceal that I updated the standard. Also, morally speaking, I think it's a moral duty for models to reflect reality, not pander to comfort.

Even then, what you get in one patch is way more than it used to be in 1.0, so it's not even good at what it's trying to convey anymore. (2/2)

@B3lph @jmfe10 @FlipMeAC This is on them. Do you suggest we keep using flawed ideas because people can't read? If you reduce arguments to "people are stupid" you can argue anything. At some point KQMs will be so out of touch it'll be alike lying. So you'd be misleading people for their "comfort".

But maybe you meant smth else by saying "KQMS will diverge from reality" ?
