This is simply a matter of coordination necessitated by the fact that this is now a war zone—not because Iran desired it, but because the Americans have transformed it into one." - "I think Her Excellency PM Takaichi made a very important point by saying things that we can do and things that we cannot do constitutionally. And I think that she sent a message in a way that perhaps the American side can take it in a proper way. So, I think this very point that Excellency said is very meaningful and is very in line with trying not to engage in a kind of situation that was brought to the international community unilaterally by the United States." Therefore, the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran does not confirm any other speculations.

本日、中東情勢に伴い供給制約が生じる可能性がある重要物資の安定確保のための総合調整を行うため、赤澤大臣に対して、「中東情勢に伴う重要物資安定確保担当大臣」を発令しました。 石油備蓄の放出や積極的な資源エネルギー外交を通じて、原油や石油製品については、「日本全体として必要となる量」を確保するとともに、供給源の多角化に向けた取組を進めているところです。 一部、バスやフェリー、トラック運送業者の燃料や、工場や漁業・農業用の燃料が行き届いていないケースが見受けられます。 個別には、九州地方の路線バスや、海底ケーブル敷設船での供給再開が実現できましたが、需要家の声にきめ細かく対応を進める必要があります。 また、ナフサをはじめとするエネルギー源ではない石油関連製品など、中東情勢に伴い供給制約を受ける可能性がある重要物資についても、医療、農業、容器包装などに関係するものも含め、安定供給確保に万全を期してまいります。 特に国民の皆様の命に直結するものとして、輸血パックなどの医薬品、透析回路や注射器などの医療機器、医療用手袋やエプロンなどの医療物資の供給にも、万が一にも、支障があってはいけません。 また、人工透析の部品などの医療関係の製品について、中東産の石油製品を原料として、アジア諸国で生産されているものもあります。 これらの製品について直ちに供給が滞る訳ではありませんが、代替製品を世界全体から調達するなどの対応を急ぎます。 赤澤大臣には、国民の皆様の命と暮らしを守るため、石油製品を始め、中東情勢の影響を受ける重要物資の供給状況を総点検し、海外を含めたサプライチェーン全体を踏まえた、重要物資の安定確保のための具体的対応方針の検討を進めてもらいます。
