I am genuinely curious Since genius passed I have been explaining how each law is not effective when it is signed, that there is a baked in delay, that it takes an act of Congress to eliminate it, and Congress would only do that in response to an event How could anyone have missed that? It’s funny David because there are some of us that believe ripple:native can hit $10,000 And we did buy and hold it. Bidding and adding to positions. The only reason it went down is because Ripple labs sold billions of it. Or it probably would be sitting above a $20 floor today.

By the way, I agree with you the there have been comparably legally indefensible indictments for protected speech under Biden, Obama and others. But there's an important reason this is much worse than all of those that I can think of. This was done very publicly and is very clearly indefensible. It's hard to imagine what purpose it could serve other than a knowingly invalid indictment to placate Trump or a message to everyone who can't defend themselves that they can't rely on the bright lines that protect freedom of speech anymore and better not criticize. I think that makes it much worse.

That's why we have juries. 12 people who sit in the courtroom and hear the evidence, then THEY DECIDE BASED ON THE EVIDENCE if such a belief was reasonable. Have you heard the evidence?
