Hooray, we have finally completed our light up Christmas cards in DT. After designing our card and testing our circuits, everything has finally come together. We also enjoyed some Christmas biscuit decorating, with the help of Mrs Parker 🎄🎅🏻🧑🏻‍🎄💡✨🍪😊

This morning in DT B6 started to put their light up Christmas cards together. A huge Thank you to Ms Abueledo for sharing her crafting knowledge with us 🎄🎅🏻🌠

This morning B6 enjoyed a trip to Cineworld to see Harold and the purple crayon. A fantastic way to spend our Friday after a week of SATS practice 🍿🎬📽️💕😊

This afternoon some of our Year 6’s took part in a Hertsmere Hockey Tournament against other local schools. An AMAZING effort from all children, you showed such good team work and encouragement for eachother 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Let’s see what happens at the finals…

B6 are enjoying working in small groups to compose the end of a song, in their music lessons! Such incredible team work, tunes and ideas 🎶🎹🎼🥁🪈

To commemorate Remembrance Day, B6 took part in the BBC live lesson! This allowed the children to create word banks that they could use to write their own poems! I was SO impressed with what they produced ✝️♥️🌹👏🏻

This afternoon B6 started to present their wonderful, well researched half term projects about the North and South Pole! Very very impressed 🥶❄️☁️🧊

In Guided Reading we have just reached an exciting and crucial part of our story, Cogheart by Peter Bunzl. B6 answered VIPERS style questions and discussed their theory’s! They were even dying to read the next chapter this afternoon 📚📖

In English this term we are focusing on narratives! We have looked at the story ‘The Wish maker’ 💫. We have created a success criteria and analysed good pieces of writing 📝✍🏻☺️

This week in maths we have been looking at Fractions! Simplifying using our GCF, ordering and comparing! Amazing work B6!!!!! We are also loving the use of whiteboards to help with our working out 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Some of our Year 6’s are taking part in the Hertfordshire Maths Challenge this afternoon! Fingers crossed and good luck 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻. Mrs Cooper has made sure to be around and lend her expertise ➖➕➗🟰

This afternoon our school councillors dropped of our Non Chronological Reports to Villiers Coffee Shop ☕️. These will be available for you to enjoy with a hot drink and a slice of cake throughout half term 🍰🧁📖✍🏻

This morning was all things Hockey! Practicing skill, team work, using space and scoring goals! Fingers crossed for our upcoming competition 🏑🏑🏑

Producing our final piece of Still Life work in Art was a brilliant way to spend our Tuesday afternoon 🎨🖼️

This week in English, B6 are writing entries for the BBC 500 word challenge! After watching the live lesson, we brain stormed ideas and started drafting up some fantastically brilliant stories that we are so excited to share 📖📚✍🏻💻

This afternoon in PSHE, B6 discussed being safe, respectful and responsible online 💻📱. We spoke about our digital footprints and how we must be mindful about what we put online as it stays there forever! We must always be kind and respectful, following our school values 🫶🏻
