This year’s theme, “Hand in Hand for a Better Food Future,” reminds us that collaboration and shared purpose are vital to building a sustainable food system for all. At the Eko Farm Fair, we brought together farmers, stakeholders, and consumers to celebrate agriculture and strengthen the connection between farm and table. It was a day of learning, connection, and appreciation for those who feed our nation. We extend our sincere appreciation to the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, for his visionary leadership and continuous efforts in advancing the agricultural sector in Lagos State. His dedication to empowering farmers and promoting food security continues to inspire progress and innovation across the state. In his goodwill message, Mr. Yarub Al-Bahrani, Board of Director, BATN Foundation, reaffirmed the Foundation’s commitment to building rural Nigeria for a sustainable future. The Honourable Commissioner of Agriculture, Ms. Abisola Olusanya @Abi_Olusanya , commended BATN Foundation for being a supportive and reliable partner over the years, ensuring that farmers remain celebrated and supported even during challenging times. To our farmers, the heartbeat of our food systems, we celebrate your resilience, innovation, and dedication to feeding communities across Nigeria. You remain at the center of our shared mission for growth, sustainability, and a better food future. Thank you to everyone who joined us at the Eko Farm Fair 2025 to celebrate World Food Day. Together, let’s continue to walk hand in hand for a better food future. #EkoFarmFair2025 #WorldFoodDay2025 #BATNFoundation #LagosStateAgriculture #FoodForAll #CommunityImpact #SustainableAgriculture #FarmersForTheFuture #EkoWorldFoodDay #HandInHandForABetterFoodFuture

Ibiam Chioma, a graduate of Fisheries from Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, was a beneficiary of the BATNF Graduate Agripreneur Program in 2025. Today, Chioma is not just a graduate. She is an agribusiness owner, building a sustainable venture and creating job opportunities for others. This is the kind of impact BATNF is driving. Empowering young people with the skills, funding, and support they need to succeed in agriculture. When young people are equipped to build in this space, they don’t just transform their own lives. They create jobs, strengthen food systems, and contribute to national growth. Agriculture is not just a sector. It is a pathway to economic empowerment and a more food-secure nation. #BATNF #GAP2025 #Agripreneur #YouthInAgriculture #FoodSecurity #NationBuilding #Agribusiness #NigeriaYouth

Progress grows stronger when women are supported. This International Women’s Day, we celebrate the women who continue to shape the agricultural sector with resilience, innovation, and leadership. The theme “Give To Gain” reminds us that when women are given access to opportunities, resources, and support, the impact extends far beyond individuals, it strengthens communities and drives sustainable growth. Today, and every day, we recognise the women contributing to a stronger and more inclusive agricultural future. #IWD2026 #GiveToGain #WomenInAgriculture #BATNFoundation
