Today, on Transgender Day of Remembrance, we honor the lives lost to anti-transgender violence and reaffirm our commitment to creating a world of inclusivity, respect, and equality. 🏳️‍⚧️

Last week, we hosted our Mentor Dine and Discuss event with our Community-Based mentors!✨ It was an evening of great food, meaningful connections, and insightful conversations—thank you to everyone who joined us. We are truly Bigger Together!

We hosted a Big Possibilities workshop to empower young adults with skills and knowledge for future careers! 💼✨ Thank you to the RBC Future Launch program, RBC, Youth Opportunities Unlimited, and our career panel for inspiring participants and opening doors to bright futures.

Today, we honor the courage, sacrifice, and resilience of those who served and continue to serve. Let us remember their legacy and the freedoms they fought to protect. Lest we forget.

At our October match event, our matches came together to craft 53 cranes for peace, which will be mailed with Mazda London to the Peace Memorial Park in Hiroshima, Japan. These cranes, inspired by Sadako Sasaki’s story, join millions worldwide as symbols of hope and peace.

🍋 How sweet is this? 🍋 Brooklyn and Harrison turned their lemonade stand into a fundraiser and have donated the proceeds to support our programs! Huge thanks to these young community heroes for their hard work and big hearts! 💙👏

As we look ahead to the next 50 years of empowering youth in our community we are asking for your help. To secure our funding and guarantee ongoing support for generations of youth to come, we have launched a legacy campaign.

Last Thursday we celebrated 50 years of Big Sisters of London. Our gathering included past and current board members, committee members, staff and supporters all connected by their shared belief of the power of mentorship.

🍂 Happy Thanksgiving! 🍂 Our office will close at noon today and will be closed on Monday, October 14th. We'll be back bright and early on Tuesday, October 15th at 9 am. Enjoy the long weekend with your loved ones! 🦃🍁

Our September match event was a blast! Matches enjoyed a day outdoors, hiking, fishing, and making s’mores by the fire. A big shoutout to Graham Family Eco Park for hosting us again this year and giving our group an amazing experience in nature. 🌲🔥🐟
