While everyone is talking about BB/Money, I find it super weird when people are clamoring for a season of "all poor people, who desperately need the money." Of course we want people to play hard, but financial desperation being the catalyst for that is weirdly dystopian

I have read the bbus application and it says you may have to get a flight and lodging to/in LA at your own expense but I’m not sure if that is still happening with zoom and such.

@hotlikefireeee @dazeyswayze @corywurtnberger I do think it is why you see many more young players than older folks on the show because middle aged people have a harder time leaving life behind for months on end. Luckily I had a support system, but took me a very long time to dig out of the hole I willingly went into.

@dazeyswayze @corywurtnberger @hotlikefireeee I can’t speak to BBUS, but getting on the show cost me a few PTO days off work, but not a dollar out of pocket. Getting on the show cost me about $15K in lost revenue from my jobs, but many of my fellow houseguests don’t have those kind of financial responsibilities.

@corywurtnberger @hotlikefireeee another thing is that there is a barrier to entry “fee” to even get on the show that stops a lot of those particular people from getting on anyway. not that applicants or tentative houseguests are charged anything but it costs money along the way that many cannot afford.
