Warmest day of the year so far, we topped 18.2C at West Freugh, Dumfries & Galloway - we might hit 20C over Grampian tomorrow. JR

Tomorrow marks the Spring Equinox, the first day of astronomical spring in the Northern Hemisphere! Increasing amounts of daylight until 21 June.Equinox in Latin means "equal night" but day and night were equal on the Equilux which was on 18 March. JR

Keep an eye out as there is a chance of seeing the northern lights over the next couple of nights 🎇 Sightings are most likely across Scotland where skies are clear but perhaps into northern England too 🌜
