Day 1 in Hong Kong 🇭🇰 Hit the Hong Kong Web3 Festival during the day. The infrastructure here is not theoretical. Then ETH HK Community Hub grand opening. Asia's first physical Ethereum hub. Vitalik and Aya in the room. Walked in skeptical. Walked out convinced. Day 2 loading... we're sailing 🚢

Africa leads the world in stablecoin ownership at 79%. But the real story is what's happening to the cost of actually using them. Q1 2026 data just dropped. East Africa moved fast: 🇰🇪 Kenya: -81% in FX pricing gap 🇹🇿 Tanzania: -80% 🇷🇼 Rwanda: -60% The driver? More providers entered those corridors. Competition showed up and costs collapsed. Now look at the other side. Ghana is still sitting at 616 bps. Only 2 providers quoting. Nigeria was at 335 bps in January, dropped to 142 bps by March because one new provider walked in the door in February. One provider. 193 bps dropped. $200B+ moved on-chain across Sub-Saharan Africa in the last 12 months. The volume is there. The demand is there. The bottleneck is access. More providers, more competition, lower costs. Africa doesn't have a crypto problem. It has an infrastructure density problem.

Celo is one year into its Ethereum L2 migration.
