I grew up in a village in Haryana until I was 17-18 years old. Yes, casteism exists in many places, but it is not as extreme in Haryana as people portray. In the same street, you’ll find Jat houses next to Kumhar, Brahmin, Baniya, and SC families. Everyone lives together, visits each other’s homes, and shares a community life. The older generation sometimes uses caste-related slangs casually because they don’t realise it’s offensive. But the younger generation is much more aware and doesn’t support it. It’s possible Ankit Bayanpuria faced casteism personally, but generalising and defaming an entire community and the whole of Haryana because of it is unfair and wrong.

@MislJatt Genuine question do you really feel kinship with them after the apparent Khalsa and Arya Samaji divide has made you both choose different paths??how much out of 10?

Maharaja Bhopal Singh of Udaipur (left). Interestingly, a town named Todgarh near Udaipur was built by Rajputs in honor of James Tod. He is often regarded by Rajputs as a father figure in shaping their narratives. This is also where James Tod, author of Annals and Antiquities of Rajasthan, was assisted by the Marwari Yati Gyanchandra in crafting accounts of Rajputana. James Tod was subsequently dismissed by the East India Company on charges of corruption.

Rajputs would have you believe that their kings subdued the Jats. As one Rajasthani historian noted, Rajput kings of Rajasthan shared genetic similarities with Marwaris, who helped the British craft fake genealogies and bahis (James Tod). See for yourself examine various Rajput kings from different regions of Rajasthan and draw your own conclusion about who could have subdued whom.
