@BBry22 @mustangsart @GametoGrow Ok. I've not heard that before. I grew up with dyslexia. The label was used with me and I never considered it a bad thing. I'll change my words though. Thank you for sharing that with me.

Ah yes, the military, fire department, and prisons - the 3 locations infamous for never being the cause of or a contributing factor to a person's disability.

@mustangsart The Veteran Affairs clinics are starting to use D&D to help Vets deal with PTSD, among other disabilities. @GametoGrow uses games to help children with special needs to learn how to communicate better or help deal with depression. Check them out @ GameToGrow.org

@AutZebra 2 a.m. to 10 a.m. If I have to get up with my son, around 7, I'll need a nap around 3 in the afternoon.

@EconomicPrison1 @Plural_Prophet @LaurakBuzz @FalSkyWolf It's not pointless. It should be researched - by Autistics, not ableists. Even considering myself autigender is considered trans, because it's not the gender I was assigned at birth. But I'm not "out" as trans because I live in the Deep South and come from a religious family.

Thread It's pride month, let's talk about autistic trans people. I'm an autistic trans person and I am far from alone. It's estimated autistic people are 8-10x more likely to come out as trans. That's correlation, not necessarily causation. Why don't we talk about this more?

The Autisticats - #StopTheShock
Four truths can coexist: 1. Autism is not a physical disease, it’s a neurotype 2. Many autistic people have co-occurring conditions that may require therapy, accommodations, etc. 3. Disability is often difficult to cope with 4. Disability is part of the human experience

This isn't about one event. This is about ANY autism organization. That they are not going to get away with not listening to us anymore. That not listening to us has consequences. That this isn't okay anymore. I had many ethical thoughts about all of this the last few days. 6/

Pippin Took and Merry Brandybuck are the PCs in a #dnd campaign whose players can only make it to random sessions every now and then so they choose to be agents of chaos that the rest of the party frantically have to clean up after when they're gone. You can't change my mind.

A recent poll on Autism Speaks social media pages showed that 90 percent of people on the spectrum and their loved ones said they experienced bullying or negativity. Today on World Autism Awareness Day we are looking to change that number. #LightItUpBlue #WorldAutismMonth

@MDCPS I don't know; maybe Autistic kids would do better in school if the school system would stop listening to hate groups like Autism $peaks and start listening to #ActuallyAutistic people. That's just me, though.
