Doesn't this line look fishy and easy to take the Saints here? 🤔 Look, I know the Panthers are a bad football team going 2-15 last season, but this team has some potential to do some good things this season and get better as they possibly can't play any worse than what they did last seaaon. With that being said, Bryce Young is in his second season, and he will be better, especially with Brad Idzik as the new Offensive Coordinator coming from Tampa Bay. Remember, Brad Idzik spent four years under Pete Carroll in Seattle and look how Russell Wilson turned out in his days in Seattle. 👀
Now, the Panthers defense should do well here against Derek Carr. Despite the bad season in 2023, this Panthers defense allowed the 6th-fewest passing yards per attempt! 👀 Well, guess what, now they added linebackers in K’Lavon Chaisson and Jadeveon Clowney from Baltimore! With their pass defense from last season, Defensive Coordinator Ejiro Evero who is in his second season in Carolina, just helped make his run defense better with those additions.
Remember, we are catching 4 points here with a team in a divisional matchup that will be highly motivated to start the season 1-0 and to throw out that horrific season from last year out the window. Keep in mind too, the Panthers have double-revenge against the Saints from last season. 👀
Since 2002, Divional UNDERDOGS with DOUBLE-REVENGE playing in Week 1 from the previous season are 38-17 ATS! And since 2014, a Divisional Underdog in Week 1 is 36-15-1 ATS. 👀
Alan Eck will be the referee in this game and last season he was 4-1 ATS to the UNDERDOG in Divisional games when the underdog is catching more than (+3) points. As a matter of fact, all those games came down to the last possession of the game with two of those underdog wins coming by a game winning field goal! 😳
