Now retired, the Martin Mars water bombers are fondly remembered for their massive size and capacity to carry water. The bombers could carry over 27,000 litres of water to drop on wildfires, helping to suppress them. BC Archives reference codes: NA-19808, NA-19748 and NA-19803
